I studied massage therapy at the Kiné-Concept Institute in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I graduated as a massage practitioner in 1997. A few months upon my graduation, a few options came my way. I had to choose whether I would accept the invitation from the China National Olympic Training Center in Beijing to further my education, go to London, England to get training with Steiner Transocean to work on cruise ships, find work and stay in Montreal or get settled in Alaska, which is where I decided to start my career. Since then, I have been working and adding numerous hours of continuing education in several other techniques in both Canada and the United States. I have recently moved to Minnesota.
I am an active professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and was elected twice as 3rd Vice President at the Legislation for the Board of Directors of the AMTA Alaska Chapter. In June of 2011, I was promoted to 2nd Vice President of Communications on the same Board of Directors until my resignation in 2013 due to my move to Minnesota. I am board certified nationally in both Eastern and Western modalities in massage and bodywork.
I am very passionate about massage therapy and I take pride at working in a professional and ethical manner. My first objective when I see a client is to make him/her feel better by the time he/she leave my treatment room. My approach to massage therapy is to be attentive to the needs of the person seeking relief from pain and stress. I provide a safe and peaceful environment to my clients from the outside world so they can have time for themselves.
Yours in health,
Danielle Beaudry-Beckstrom
